Crème Bakery is the creation of Erica Hartig Dubreuil, who has been at the center of leadership in the retail food industry for over twenty-five years. With responsibilities including sourcing and developing unique artisan foods, setting the standard for financially efficient store operations, and curating the ever-evolving customer retail experience through innovative customer-centered store design, Erica has brought forth Crème Bakery, weaving her depth of experience and passions together in one beautiful location in the historic Claremont Village.
Joining Whole Foods Market in 1996, Erica led at the Regional Vice President level all three of the major company disciplines of Purchasing, Operations, and Store Development and Design, with ultimate operational responsibility for all stores in Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii before retiring from WFM at the end of 2016 to focus on the creation of Crème Bakery. Prior to joining Whole Foods Market, Ms. Dubreuil was COO of Marvelous Market, a chain of exquisite retail bakeries in Washington, DC, and later co-owner of The Breadline restaurant, also in DC. Prior to working with delicious food, she worked on Capitol Hill experiencing dynamic, unforgettable aspects of our government’s legislative process.
Erica received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1988. She is the proud mother of two of the finest young men in the galaxy, an avid cultivator of delicate succulents, a music lover, and is a fearless baker.
